LABYRINTH OF THE BRAIN: Alzheimer`s and Parkinson`s disease
By 2050, an estimated 113 million people worldwide will suffer from dementia. The most common cause is Alzheimer's disease.
Another neurodegenerative disorder, Parkinson's disease, occurs in 4% of the population that is over 85 years old.
20.2. we sold out the Brno Observatory and Planetarium for the third time with a lecture from the Labyrinth of the Brain series that is supported by the CoBeN project. This lecture was focused on Alzheimer's and Parkinson's diseases.
The topic was presented by a leading Czech neurologist, Irena Rektorova, and her colleagues from her Research Group at CEITEC Masaryk University.
